Reader and scribe services
The Tutor Hub provides trained and experienced readers, scribes, and prompters for learners who receive assessment accommodations. We work closely with both schools and parents to ensure assessments are conducted fairly, professionally, and in line with each learner’s approved support needs.
How the process works

Parent enquiry
Parents contact The Tutor Hub via phone or email to request assessment accommodation support.

Learner and school information
Parents provide the learner’s school details, grade, and assessment programme

Coordination with the school
The Tutor Hub liaises with the school to arrange the required reader, scribe, or prompter.

Assessment support provided
A trained Tutor Hub staff member is sent to the school to assist during the assessment.

Billing
Parents are charged per assessment paper.
School readiness evaluations (Grade R)
Our School Readiness Evaluations help determine whether a Grade R learner is developmentally ready for formal schooling. These evaluations assess key areas of early learning and provide parents with clear guidance and practical recommendations.
Areas assessed may include:
- Early literacy and numeracy skills
- Fine and gross motor development
- Attention, listening, and classroom readiness
- Emotional and social readiness
Academic assessments
Academic assessments are available for parents who would like a clearer understanding of their child’s current academic level. These assessments help identify strengths, learning gaps, and areas that may require additional support.
